I’ve searched elsewhere without a valid option. TIA.
Long press on the notification and see what app is sending it.
There’s no record of it. It’s just a verbal announcement and it does not appear in the settings notification history.
I would go to your installed apps in settings and look for apps you don’t remember installing. A quick search will tell you what they are, then remove any suspect apps.
Unfortunately, I recognize everything. The alerts started before the last “Call Control” app that I installed.
It’s just really irritating that nothing gets listed in Notification history.
Must be some app. Never seen anything like this.
Unfortunately, phone notification history doesn’t show any app notification.
Do you have a Samsung phone? You could maybe Try downloading Good Lock and get Nice Catch if so. That tracks things like apps that woke your screen or apps that vibrated your phone. Maybe there’s something in that app that might catch it?
Pixel. I looked for Nice Catch. That’s part of Samsung?.. I should look into whether that could be side loaded.
Edit: pretty sure that’s a no.
Install a “logcat” application. You might have to enable developer mode. Then you can configure the types of logs you want and look at them immediately after you get the alert or notification to see which app sent it.
I have Dev mode. Any suggestion on an app? I’m not familiar with that.
What news app are you using?
Nothing really. Just the Google Discover on the new tab page. I’ve checked to make sure no notifications are “On”.

Ha, yeah, I read that before posting this. I’ve never had a dedicated news app and I don’t listen to podcasts. I’m strictly a music man. I’m searching my phone for weather related announcements.
