you can either interpret this as sexist because old women arent sexy OR everett being loyal to his one nd only wife. choose your side
Both. He doesn’t find her attractive, but he needs to be extra to get the point across without Mrs. True getting involved and potentially using Everett as a blunt object against the offending woman.
Man’s kept in place by a mix of love and acknowledging he’s found the only person who can take him down.
That last bit sounds like dragon ball
Well, now I want to see what happens when the Trues go even further beyond.
This is the comment canon building we need, right chyeh.
I wonder who’s peering in at the door like a creep.
that’s us!
HI FIVE 1905. We have had quite a bit of wassail!
Everett is just being a misogynist asshole.
If it was just about being loyal to his wife he wouldn’t be slinging insults at a woman who did nothing to wrong him outside of inviting him to a slightly naughty party game.
I don’t think he’s really a misogynist; he’d treat a man in that position with equal disdain.
absolutely brutal
My choice: Mrs. True is a jealous woman.
I love onions. They’re flaky, edible baseballs that make your lookin’ spheres sad.
@clark early Everett is just a dick.
His hand doesn’t have a wedding ring.
Not all married men wear them, varies with religion and culture. Source: sidewalk van preachers and long discussions with such.
Are we sure this isn’t his real wife, and this isn’t some kind of weird verbally abusive foreplay?
Yes, it’s totally sexist when someone doesn’t want to make out with an old lady. The stench of failing organs should be a turn on for everybody! 🙄
@turtlepower @clark objectively speaking, based on looks and temperament, Mr. True is not exactly out of her league
Bahahaha! That’s for sure. The point is op was saying it was possibly sexist, and many people would cry that it is, but the truth of the matter is (generally speaking) nobody wants an old body. It pisses me off when mouth-breathers make a big deal when a guy does it, but women do it, too. It’s not a matter of sexism, it’s a matter of personal preference. Some people are into GMILFs, but most people aren’t.
@turtlepower I dunno about sexist, but he’s being a dick. Which is in character for early True, whose only real character trait was being a dick.
Before he had evolved into the later True we all love, who was an avenging angel of over-the top righteous (or sometimes extremely petty) violence.
Eh, I guess I’m just disappointed because I at first thought he was a hero of the common man and supporter of people’s rights, but he’s just an over-violent blowhard.
@turtlepower it varies. Sometimes he’s absolutely in the right (opposing cruelty to animals, corruption, people being selfish and mean), sometimes he’s hilariously petty and ridiculous (he punches a guy for wearing his hat crooked at one point). But that’s late-stage Everett, early Everett just said cruel things and then everybody around him grins or compliments him cause that’s “what they were all thinking”. Lame.
@turtlepower But yeah, Everett can be extremely disappointing.
Just like the rest of the human race! lol
You can’t smell failing organs, you conspiracy theorist. Organs are on the inside of the body, and you can’t smell through skin.
