Not always, I’ll often forget to shower until I look in the mirror and realize my hair needs to be washed. Peak pandemic I’d sometimes go a few weeks without showering until I could smell myself. Just not something that’s on my mind most of the time.
So, why do we need a supermarket? Is there any reason a supermarket couldn’t be replaced with it’s contingent parts? A butcher, a veggie shop, a convenience food shop, a pharmacy, a bakery, and a condiments shop?
I don’t see why they have to be stapled together when separate works just fine. All of which could fairly practically be stocked individually by small light duty trucks, or even a bike with a decently sized trailer.
I also don’t see why even if you staple everything together, a cargo tram wouldn’t work. Have two, a passenger tram that works one route, and a cargo line that runs by the loading bays of local stores. They can be switched on and off the overarching infrastructure without interfering with each other.
It would be a paradigm shift for the US, but I fail to see how it would be an unworkable one.

I always like to jump ship to open source projects, I ditched Facebook back in like 2010 for Disaspora and Frendica. Once I found out about Lemmy it was just a matter of time before I jumped ship, because that’s just how I roll.
I use element, I like the interface, and the option to opt into beta features. Though I did use Fractal for quite a while, since it is lighter than electron, and I usually use gnome so it integrates nicely. Though I can also recommend Nehko if you used irc a lot. It was my main irc client back in the day and I loved it, I just kinda fell off when everyone moved to Discord though I might switch back to it from Element at some point after the spec is more stable, Element is still the fastest way to get updates, and is pretty much the best mobile client.
MTLS is for transport layer security, not authentication security. This is closer to those RSA keys where there is an RSA server keeping track of all the fobs that can be queried to figure out what number they are currently showing. Acting as a something you have factor of authentication, proving you are who you say you are.
