It was never about freedom or prosperity. It was always about rich people’s pockets and it will be until the last one suffocates on CO2 while clutching their pennies.

I’ve come to find that if your chemicals do things we want them.
Doom runs on everything? More like everything runs on doom
I took a look at Omarchy after a user posted a pretty knowledgeable teardown of it. Stay very far away.

6·17 days agoIdk I played it as a child and it felt like Japanese pupper Legend of Zelda. So I would keep in mind this game was not made for adults but children. I didnt find too much challenge, not even in the Orochi fight. But I enjoyed the story enough where it was worth it to play it until completion.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What's the real danger of opening ports?English
11·1 month agoIt just widens your attack surface for the ghost army of bots that roam the net knocking on ports, you don’t want to be someone else’s sap. I would imagine most home attacks fall into three categories: script kiddies just war driving, targeted attacks on someone specific, or just plain ol’ looking for sensitive docs for identity theft or something. Its still the net, man. If you leave your ass hanging out someone’s gonna bite it in a new way every time.
