So educate me, as far as I can see Ukrain seemed to keep to it’s self pretty well. I’ve not really heard any examples of extreme authoritarianism or attacking journalists, or finding an outgroup to persecute… or anything to imply they had any intent of threatening any of their neighboring countries.

Actually something kind of funny to me, it says “in heaven”, “on earth” or “in the waters below earth”. Assuming christian theology… the biggest exception that comes to my mind… is things that are in hell.

There apparently were also some story changes… which can be disagreed upon… mainly all deaths were removed.

Though ignoring the differences in the versions, I think the main objections are the price. IE after the sale is discontinued, the long term is the $20 version is no longer for sale, with the note to buy the $50 version instead. (IE right now it’s buy the cheap version on sale, and get it upgraded to the expensive one… but say someone decides to get the game in january, the only option will be the $50 game.

that’s true, but I think it’s in the phrasing, they describe it as a shortage of human made content. the bigger issue to note is the lack of ability to identify human made content. IE you give it reddit and our e-mails, there’s plenty of human made content on there… but nobody knows what percentage of it is actually bots or AIs.

Honestly I don’t get how AI isn’t rolling backwards already. Image sites are burried in AI slop. Social media posts are burried in AI slop, and now e-mails, that were probably written by AIs. How is AI even remotely improving right now, when obviously 90% of any new training data it’s getting, was generated by the last generation of AI.

We should give a fuck about reddit, twitter, facebook etc… as controlling mechanisms that are poisoning the overwhelming majority of the population. Keeping an eye on their impact to society kind of matters.

I’d almost agree with you, but I think the biggest thing is… if someone’s sleeping on the street, in their car etc… you can probably assume they don’t have much in the way of family or friends that are willing to step up and help out.

Meaning they can only really surrender it to pet shelters… which we all know have a huge influx of dogs, and the older the dog, the lower it’s odds of finding a loving home, the higher the odds it’s just going to be killed.

So yeah in short, one the dog probably is probably not as shaken by being homeless as it’s human companion, and even if it’s not, that’s still probably the least bad option for it.

If a homeless man has a rich cousin that says “Sorry man nothing I can do for you, but my kids really want your 8 year old german sheppard” and the homeless guy says no I need him with me, I’d respect him less. But I have to say, in most cases keeping the dog and master together is more often than not the best outcome for both of them.
