I agree with both of those examples
I agree with both of those examples
I think it’s both
When I worked in an office, the amount of people who would demand that the heating was cranked up as they were sat there in a cotton t-shirt instead of layering up.
The amount of people I know who have every light turned on in their house, the heating on all day throughout the winter, don’t bother with basically insulation, don’t turn things off at night, drive to places that are easily in walking distance etc.
I could keep going on forever with a list of small and basic changes such as products purchased, recycling, waste etc but I’d be here forever.
As individuals we can try, but the average population is too selfish and isn’t going to stop until it’s too late
Between the likes of pollution, deforestation, wars, extinction of species to name a few…the only thing that could save this planet is humanity somehow becoming infertile.
By definition, yes.
But let’s be honest, you know exactly what I meant.
OP isn’t wrong, it’s the reason I came off social media years ago & I’ve been so happy since
Browsing social media gave this false illusion that people were constantly out having the time of their lives, every single day.
I just constantly felt like I had to try and do the same, that my life was boring and miserable. The reality is that I was doing and having more fun than most people based on conversation, social media was just painting a very false picture of people’s day to day lives.
Shut down as in ‘that’s a terrible idea for the fediverse’
If it was public & randomly sorted to the fediverse Lemmy servers, I don’t see how it would be an issue
I’ve suggested something similar before and got shur down. Just sort people into a Lemmy server either based off their interests or location
“Nationality France = Lemmy France Server”
Or
“What are your interests? Gaming = Gaming Lemmy server”
As somebody who mostly plays WoW Classic & Diablo, plus ARPG like PoE and Grim Dawn - would I likely run into issues?
I’ve always wanted to try switching, though I would like to wait for HDR. I know that I could partition the OS, but tbh I just want to keep it simple with one OS
I have big hands and loved my Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 for this reason, plus it would fit comfortably in my pockets (especially when leaning/bending forwards)
Notice the past tense? Despite taking very good care of it, the hinges didn’t last long. Rip
Sega Mega drive from when I was 3-4 years old.
Sonic the hedgehog - unlock all levels cheat: Up down left right A Start (twice)
This
The corsairs of umbar flee the boats, the party & rangers take the ships. The whole point of the fleet was to cut off the Dol Amroth reinforcements, which can then join the battle
At Pellenor, they just scare the enemy forces. Once they’ve fulfilled their oath, they are free.
I’m the same age
I found that stone was used for weight commonly up until recent times. I’ve been asked in person and one form what my weight is in kg (I think maybe health insurance?)
Same with Lbs and pints, but also milk. Every standard plastic milk carton is measured in pints, usually with ml/l printed on them these days. Smallest carton? 1 pint. Most common? 4. Giant carton 6 etc
UK here - never used stone, LBs or pints as a measurement
If I was measuring bodyweight, I would use KG. Grams for anything light.
The only time I see Milk measured in pints, is bottles or cartons of standard dairy milk in supermarkets. Any other milk is litres, including dairy such as Jersey / Cream top milk
Do you face many compatibility issues when gaming?
Whilst the performance needs improving, Last Epoch is something like 20gb
Go compare that to an ARPG like PoE2 or D4…
Exactly, veterans with a stockpile would be able to just buy the lot
I’m not sure if it is a problem, each currency has a specific purpose (ie materials split by expansion for a more level playing field on expansion release, faction specific, event)
I feel like it’s well designed if anything
The problem is when games go for size is that they don’t populate the world
The modern Assassin Creed games were a prime example of this - big world, completely barren
At no point did I say that “I added a centre speaker to my soundbar setup”
I ditched my old setup for a new
