There are no minors holding EU office, anything being done in the name of “kid-friendliness” is actually advertiser-friendly, minors are a convenient scapegoat with basically no political power who can be leveraged to curtail everyone’s rights
This is a good idea. Maybe as small strips to sew onto clothes as well? Most of these camera systems target the face, body size and shape, and gait.
Referring to the clothes specifically, if you’re wearing lots of privacy-protecting gear and nobody around you is, it will have the opposite effect and you will be targeted.
It might be better to wear less obvious stuff like the big hoodie + facemask combo at first, and convince other protestors to wear smarter clothes over time, instead of immediately turning up in reflexive wear.
But the problem is that this reinforces their denial, which leads to them continuing to support other organizations that do the exact same things.
This isn’t a *minor distinction", this is the very thinking that let ICE grow and expand for two decades.
Offering a different viewpoint here: a LOT of people have been directly harmed by religious institutions, which is why there’s such a viciously negative reaction at times.
“Reddit Athiest”-type Sky Daddy isn’t real, cultist freak stuff isn’t helpful, obviously, but a lot of it is knee-jerk hate responses to the concept of spirituality because they or someone they know was genuinely harmed by a church or a religious person at some point, and when this happens it frequently goes unaddressed. I would suggest blocking instead of engaging if it really offends you, as this kind of person usually isn’t evil, and getting into arguments won’t change any minds.
