I’m so glad to be living in Germany. And that I’m a good German who insured himself against being unable to work.

I’m getting an early pension and my wife is paid by health insurance to care for me. Those together with the insurance mean that we can keep on living more or less like before.

During the pandemic my wife was panicking about Long Covid. I said the chances of getting that are too low. And we got vaccinated and we masked up. Then the children went back to school, everyone got sick and now I can only lie in bed 24/7.

That was extensively done, especially in the. beginning of the internet. Scammers would register typo domains and plaster them full of ads. It’s still. being done today, but with basically everyone using Google as the address bar it’s probably less effective.

I think it’s how it is a b-movie that is actually good that makes it and other Tarantino movies so compelling. It is low budget fluff (or well, pulp) done on a high budget with more thought put into it than is incidentally apparent.

This question reminded me of how the Swedish movie Slim Susie put it. It begins in a movie theatre where they’re watching Pulp Fiction but the movie stops at the half way point because the theatre had only gotten the first film roll. To placate the audience the theatre owner phones his buddy to ask how Pulp Fiction ends: John Travolta dies, but at least the black guy survives.

I still don’t know why they sell one Uncharted game on Steam under the name “Uncharted Collection”. It’s just one game and some DLC.

A corporate indie event somehow sounds wrong. Hope they didn’t have to pay much to be included.

I still use swap for those rare moments i run out of RAM after all. Who knows maybe some heavy cronjobs will clash or whatever.
