My external HDD automatically does this regardless of OS, it is an Orico. I have 2 of them with a 2tb HDD in one and a 8tb in another. These are only used for playback and I believe the spin down after 30 sec of no activity

Why so many pedantic idiots? Context lost?

This is what this is about. What ALL the law suits are about, these are just straws they are grabbing at to make it look like something different. Check out OhNoItsAlex on YT, he has great breakdowns. My post about this yesterday preceded his video about it, his video is way more detailed.

On windows, you pay to get their “windows signature” so your app can be installed. Right now they just tell you not to trust that app that isn’t signed, next they will tell you “No!”

Sometimes, refunds, it is a beneficial thing to sue them (I know there are a few more things they got sued for that made steam better for us)

I believe this is a targeted attack on steam, too many law suits so close together and none of their “competition” are facing anything even though they do the same things, just a lot worse

Dammit, how did I not remember that name. The only 2 names that would surface were oblivion and TESO. TY

Right. I mostly buy Indy and, I guess, AA games like Arizona sunshine and metro awakening, 6 - 8 hrs of story driven game, I have elder scrolls (not oblivion but the one that they have remade/rereleased like 6 times, only got half way through that as I kept forgetting what I was doing lol)

The store won’t keep a copy of your ID on a database to be inevitably hacked

Exactly, “I hate the grind”, “The boss/sub boss fights are too hard”, “I only have so many hours in a day”.
Some days I barely have an hour to play a game, sometimes I think maybe, just maybe, I could use a bot/AI to get a little more done while I’m doing those tedious life things, then I think “What’s the point if I don’t do it myself?”

Linus Torvalds uses Fedora last I heard, LTT built him a beast pc, take that for what it is worth. He likes to test the kernel and he says Fedora is most accommodating for him.
That’s just it, I used to enjoy the frustration and exultation of the defeating/being defeated by the hardest mode, now I really enjoy just playing the games stress free. Main thing, I adapted to continue enjoying the games I play. Where ever you fall make sure you enjoy the time spent
Amp it up
First I was the bottom, now I am the top. Think I’m devolving hehe

will be a modular and AI-focused OS
Take all the parts that used to be included and put them behind individual pay walls. I suggest Control Panel, powershell, network access, adding icons to start menu and task bar, using multiple monitors, the registry, right click menus. I’m sure even more could be added to this list with each starting at $5/mo, on top of the access fee and one drive expansions as access to your own hdd (other than the OS) is restricted behind a $20/mo sub.

They are building the framework piece by piece. First the API is “Honour Based” then it goes to “Prove It”. For once it looks like baby steps instead of full blown head in a toilet of fresh shit like usual. Build your off line libraries, soon the only way to win will be not to play

Who needs to video their day to torture thenselves with minute details throughout each day, your brain can pull that info up any time it is inconvenient to you and run through it for hours

Colour ME shocked
I spent so much time playing this version, loved it but not the 30min+ turns while waiting to do a move in end game. Depending which version you are playing, you can save before entering one of the random village huts and if you get something you don’t like (attacked) you can reload and it will reroll the hut. Not all versions allowed this
