3·1 year agoMake sure to check for camera support. When I unlocked the bootloader from an old Xperia phone, camera performance was reduced a lot.
Pictures were never the same after that.

Do not get me wrong. I used to love custom ROMs since the days of android 1.6.
But if I pay 500€ and more for a phone I would not risk to unlock the bootloader. For my specific device (Samsung A52s) the camera app does not even open if I unlock the bootloader using the stock ROM.
Unfortunately it is not feasible for every day use. Camera, payments, netflix…
For an old phone, yes. It’s a good idea.

1·2 years agoWhat about the camera? That’s the only real problem for me.

Keycloak seems a little bit faster in my case, and it is simpler to setup. It has less containers.
However Authentik is has more features.
So, depending on your use case, I’d use one of those. Both are great!
