I publish my music online. Since I make that kind of music because I like that genre, then I’m pretty optimistic I will like it if it wasn’t me who made it. As for comments on lemmy, reddit, etc., no so much; but I have given advice from time to time that people appreciated based on their replies. Usually it’s about music, cooking, and movies.
Because most low birth-rate countries are first-world countries, and they generally want to only accept people who can contribute to their society and not be freeloaders to the social system. This means they need to filter out the people that come in, and being first-world countries, there is no shortage of people trying to get in. Sometimes they want low-skill, not-highly educated people just for the cheap labor, but not the person actually staying permanently, hence temporary worker visas. If a foreigner really wants to stay permanently, they then need to ensure that you are educated, able to support yourself long term, do background security checks, and make sure you agree to integrate as you mentioned in the OP.
They’ll just move on to the next available platform.
Alex Caruso didn’t need wings.
The classic D-A-G-A or G-D-Em-C progression. Lots of songs use that chord configuration, and they are relatively easy to play (except maybe the G chord if you are a total beginner).
I’m imagining cars like Framework laptops and you can install an open source OS of your own choice to operate it.
I love their transparency.
They were probably also alluding to the long term effects it had on likely the people who are still the most influential age group still running the world.
Maybe you can try the ones that don’t have aluminum in them and just use corn starch. It’s similar to deodorant vs antiperspirant, with the latter being the most effective, because it has aluminum in it.
What would be amusing is if the Satanic Temple pushes to display their tenets as well, and it’s absolutely a way better list that you can show to kids compared to religious scripture. I know this is their modus operandi so I hope they take action as well.
This is what I hate with sunscreen. It’s so hard to wash off and the smell lingers. I just avoid the sun instead. lol
How about foot powder? Ever since I first tried it, I’ve never worn socks and shoes without putting on foot powder first ever again. It really helps with sweat and odor.
Unless they ask you for your reddit/lemmy account during the background check process and you willingly give it, I imagine they only go as far as checking social media accounts that are searchable with your known names, email addresses, and phone numbers on the major social media platforms. That’s if you keep your lemmy account relatively anonymous of course.
A résumé-generating event for sure.
Aren’t there cargo nets and other accessories for that? I get it if you have perishable groceries that need to be kept frozen until you get home and it’s hot outside.
This is cool! I actually tried attending one of the past live watch parties but was in the middle of doing something as well so couldn’t really actively participate. A scheduled discussion thread at a set time sounds great.
You understand wrong. I am an immigrant myself and literally experienced what I said. I merely recounted my own experience and the hoops I had to go through to be admitted into the country and be allowed to stay permanently. I have first hand experience of what the USCIS requires and checks in order to be granted work visas and the entire lengthy and expensive process to get permanent residency if you’re coming from a third world country. You are literally asked in application forms if you’ve ever applied for government benefits and how much debt you currently have, because that raises flags for them. You also have to prove your skills by showing evidence of the work you’ve done and what special skills or knowledge you have that a local can’t otherwise do. I’ve been denied a visa once just because the consular officer wasn’t convinced that my skills were special enough. It was a long drawn out process just to get admitted in.
So before accusing arrogance and bigotry at someone, please make sure you actually know where the person is coming from. I am not against immigration at all. I am merely explaining how the government picks and chooses who to admit into the country through their standard immigration processes. It doesn’t mean I agree with it.
