    You can try mbin (ex kbin) which allows to follow users including Mastodon/misskeys account. While having a nicer UI than Lemmy. Only issue is that the default UI doesn’t display the embedded images

    None of the Lemmy instances do. The software Lemmy does not support that.

    But Mbin does. Mbin also works better with Mastodon.

    I don’t know what Piefed supports.

    You can follow users using Mastodon (I follow myself here from Mastodon). Not sure about other Fedi software.
