Good. Hopefully it won’t ever come to that. And it’s good that you’re paying attention. But inform yourself before you go all guns blazing.
I’ve entered a stage of my life where I’ve become fairly nihilistically and hedonistically emotional about politics. The recent election has made me a depressed and angry doomer. I no longer know that I care if things are made better anymore because I’m disgusted by almost everyone within my country. I feel exceptionally alone. I’m motivated by spite now.
The Conservatives won because Liberals split the vote and ended up costing the incumbent Green MP the seat. The same Green had beat the Conservatives in the previous election. So stupid US-style tactical voting for the centrist handed a seat to the Right. Do you see why I react the way I do with stupid monkeying of US style two-party politics?
It depends if on aggregate tactical voting hurts the conservatives, which I imagine it does. An individual case of this going the opposite way is not particularly compelling.
But yes, Canada’s electoral system is significantly less awful than the US’s.

Not particularly compelling? In a minority government context? Oh god, you really have no idea what you’re talking about. Cheerio.
I don’t think you understood my point.
