The dye industry, heavy on the use of petrochemicals, is one of the world’s biggest polluters. Now dyes can be made by microorganisms that -grow- colors.

    I hate the “chemicals bad” nonsense. It’s ignorant fearmongering. Meanwhile I eat chemicals for breakfast.

      When I see “without chemicals” I just assume it’s shorthand for “without known harmful chemicals, probably” until I carefully read the label and learn more

      Nonetheless, be careful especially with cosmetica. They don’t use lead and arsen anymore only because it is forbidden now. Carcinogen and hormonal active substances are not rare there.

      Oooo, quercetin, so spooky like myricetin and kaempferol. I can’t even go outside for fear of the chemical cyanidin. Wait. Those are just banana flavour compounds. My bad.

      I started working at a job that had a “Do Not Dump Chemicals Down Sink” sign. I asked it that included H2O, because I actually poured water down it. They didn’t like my joke.
