Very recently, I was chatting with a coworker who is a dad, and he said, “I love my kids, but don’t do it”
Bit of a different vibe from that guy.
I bet the replies to this were all from kind well adjusted people wishing anon well
I didn’t make my kid. Adopted.
But it’s the same thing, the same feeling.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a grumpy asshole, but I try harder to be decent. I try to be the dad that the kid deserves, and that includes setting an example by being better than I used to be.
It’s some powerful shit, when you let yourself feel it.
That’s that evolutionary programming kicking in, convincing you to slave away with the goal of increasing the survival rate of your offspring.
I’m not saying it’s good or bad. I’m just saying that your’e a machine and this affects your program:
If(havebaby=true){parentalmotivation++}
Following the lifecycle of the species is one path towards an ok life.
That’s going to always increase parentalmotivation.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re using one of the languages that uses
:=
for assignment. :P… I guess it’s part of our Makefile
Oh, maybe I wanted to use ==
Like
if(true)
but with side effects.
obvi fake
Yeah no shit. Germans don’t feel joy
It says a lot about the world that only certain people who can afford certain experiences can enjoy it and the rest are bitter.
Having said that, I’m proud of anon and his likely faked story and son.
