Subreddit mods cannot ban you from Reddit entirely, just their subreddit
My bans came from me saying that Israel is committing genocide and that Netenyahu needs to be tried and hanged for his crimes.
Maybe it’s just me, but no matter what the ban was for (I’m very aware Reddit is going ban-crazy and has just been shit in general,) I feel it’s a bad omen that one community (connected communities, fediverse, what have you) is being largely inhabited by people banned from other communities.

I got perm banned for saying on a post about Nazis in South Dakota gathered on the Capitol steps, I said I was in the mood to punch some Nazis in the face. Reddit can suck it.
I got banned for “threatening violence” for joking that Ryan Routh should get some help aiming for the neck from Tyler James Robinson.

I got a 3-day ban recently for a call to action and plea to arm up and overthrow Trump. (Something along the lines of “We should do as some of our founding fathers intended and arm ourselves to deal with this tyranny”)
Tried to get that point across to someone and they thought it was about how guns are used in self defense. How i learned there was a sub dedicated to cheering people shooting others in the name of self defense

The Right can incite violence and engage in cruelty against their targets of oppression and opposition, consequence free, both online and offline. Meanwhile, the Left isn’t even allowed to publically speak our thoughts and belief in numerous circles and places and even our supposed “allies” (aka, the average working class protester) typically push us down and suppress us because “violence is bad :(”.
Reddit is such a weird place. A lot of left-leaning people are still on there, even though spez worships Elon and even named Elon as the “inspiration” for all the stupid shit he did to Reddit.

Reddit is nearly 100% AI bots these days on the popular subs. You’re good to get away. The interface over here is shite and takes forever to figure out, but the people are nice.
It’s always good to keep your options open. The fediverse has set up guardrails to prevent things from happening here that have already happened out there but anything can fail. I myself have an account on ramble if shit goes bad here. Always have an escape route. Have no loyalty, that will be abused.
