The people who needed to be convinced think the New York Times is globalist propaganda. If they even noticed the existence of this article they would assume it was a made up smear campaign against Dear Leader.

Also, our media (even the “liberal media”) is part of the problem. For example, they did such a terrible job explaining Trump’s attempts to steal the 2020 election that to this day even many anti-Trump Americans don’t understand how fucked up it was.

The primary blame is on the sociopaths in charge and the troglodytes who voted them in, but there is plenty of guilt to go around.

So…. I am going to express my opinion that Trumpism is merely the latest, not so different, expression of American capitalism that has always been this nasty and poisonous. And this includes the raids and round ups currently in the news.

There are some things that changed: the targets and oppressed have changed for some. The messaging has changed.

It’s a fad. This will fade soon enough, and things will still be bad. The good guys will be elected and clean up some of the stuff, but most of what they do will be ineffective. And then the next bad guy will come to power

Who are the “good guys”? The only remotely non-evil person who had a serious bid for president is Sanders, the rest are straight up pieces of shit who bankroll genocides, bomb civilians, and empower their billionaire donors. Even then, Sanders is ineffective, somewhat zionist, and old, and I don’t see a viable young replacement even for someone like him.

In the US, the political mainstream isn’t “good guys vs bad guys”, it’s 80% hitler vs 100% hitler.

And even Sanders parroted the “they have a right to defend themselves” rhetoric when push came to shove

Based on what toady Mike Johnson and trump have been saying today/yesterday about how the GOP should control elections, I have a lot of worry that there will never be any more “good guys” elected.

Many states have elections that do not allow recounts, using hidden methods to count, and flunk the same fraud checks used pretty in other counties reliably.

Given that, I’m not too worried

And the ability to purge voter registrations within days of the election. Couple that with reduction in voting locations in heavy blue areas and kicking other methods entirely…

the stopping counting was pretty apparent in '24, they more than likely saw kamala had votes if they had counted them all.

      Exactly.

What Donald is doing has always occurred. It’s just been better hidden, and he doesn’t care to hide any of it. The corruption we’re seeing now is only new if you’ve never cracked open a history book.

Rightoids are unbelievably predictable. Meet one in public and you could guess everything that comes out of their mouth from the very beginning of the conversation

Only actual fucking idiots are unable to realize how predictable rightoids are

Fuck that. It was predicted a full year before. This is bullshit. Stop reading the NYT. They lied about the attack on Oct 7 (claimed sex crimes that didn’t happen) and never made a retraction. I cancelled my subscription to them and to the Washington Post (cause Bezos killed an opinion piece endorsing Biden, who I voted for because fuck Trump, but Biden was a terrible candidate).

Listen to the audio-book, “Manufacturing Consent,” from Noam Chomsky. Unfortunately, he’s in the Epstein docs, so I can’t recommend him otherwise. Oh well. All these people are monsters.

Also read an introductory textbook on logic & pay attention to fallacies like ad hominem. Shit’s timeless & really pays off far better than whatever joke of an education people got.

      Biden was a terrible candidate

In a binary choice, he can also be the best candidate. Unfortunately many Americans don’t understand the difference between “imperfect” and “comically bad, unsuitable and incapable”. It’s too nuanced.
