Nebula is the youtubers advertising for their own platform. It’s like “like and subscribe” or “subscribe to my patreon”.

I’m missing Betterhelp, that one really expensive safety razor, and Bambulab for makers.

I’m proud to say that I block so many ads, this is the first time I’m seeing most of these names.

You guys are seeing sponsors? Don’t people use sponsorblock? I’ve never heard of (or seen) half these things.

You would be surprised how many people still watch with the normal YouTube ads, so never mind sponsorsblock. I guess the big tech companies succeeded by dumbing everything down to bite-sized technologies. So many younger people can’t even comprehend the notion of ad blockers. They are basically on the same level as boomers when it comes to tech literacy.

sometimes there isnt labeled sponsor segments, I just usually skip increments of 30 seconds since most sponsor are either 30, 60 or 90 seconds

There are some creators who’s content ads have the same effort as the rest of the content. As a heavy ad block user this is the only way for advertisers to reach me and im okay with it.

I’d love to see the YouTube analytics of a handful of really popular videos that have embedded sponsors. Even before the “jump ahead” feature, there must be a massive drop-off of people who just skip five or ten seconds ahead until the sponsor isn’t showing again.

Yes, LTT for one was advertising it.

It was weird seeing a product I develop custom modules for being advertised by them lol. Also, ERPs have such a high entry cost to get them working properly for your business, I don’t see who’d adopt one based on a YouTube sponsorship.

Yeah, I used to work on what amounted to an extension of Odoo with loads of customisation. Odoo itself was absolute hell after having worked on sane backends with sane ORMs.

Idk if this is outdated or I just watch different content than OP, but I’ve been seeing mostly Helix & MeUndies the last year

Only seen meundies on two channels so far. Not come across helix yet. Yt is large enough for you to be able to just completely miss a sponsor.

Honestly he’s one of the only creators where I don’t just skip the sponsorship segments, because they are actually humorous and he frequently models the underwear for us.

      MeUndies are unironically excellent.

Micromodal isn’t the sturdiest fiber so they do wear out eventually, but holy shit are they comfy.

They’re overpriced, sure, but kind of worth it IMO.

I mean, their advertising obviously worked. We all recognize those names even though more than half barely even do sponsorships anymore or not at all. Instead of making commercials look like memes they just flooded the internet and let us make the memes for them.
