Chicken are bred to lay more and more eggs, to the point of exhaustion. This was never a free choice, of course. Neither was it natural.

More like a bad joke, but there is some truth to it depending on conditions (Ie. Free range chickens), other than that we’re the predators, so obviously it’s very ironic to say we’re protecting them
