Pro tip if you’re handing over money: give the coins first, and then notes. It makes it much easier, because coins on top are likely to slip off and require more careful handling.
Is throwing the change at them not acceptable anymore?
Y’all still using paper money and coins?
I haven’t used physical bills in twenty years.
Yeah in truth I haven’t used physical money in ages either. Tap to pay is so much more convenient, and even before cards started having that, inserting and entering your PIN was still way more convenient than the annoyance of cash. If I find out a place doesn’t take card, I’ll usually just walk out.
Y’all still give your data to the data miners?
Civilized countries have real privacy protection laws.
Please forgive them, such a concept is unheard of back where we come from.
They’re of age.
It’s incredible that cashiers aren’t taught this.
We were back when I worked retail, but they are making no money and don’t give a fuck about their job
They do it only to people they hate.

As a former retail worker- we know. If you get the bills first, it’s our passive-aggressive way of saying you were a dick.
We also know that tone doesn’t translate to corrective action forms. No one is getting written up for telling you to “have a sparkling day!”😘
This is missing the previous 10 minutes of them:
- carefully packing each item one at a time into the bags that are five feet away
- forgetting where they put their purse/wallet
- finding their glasses case
- putting their glasses on
- finding a huge wad of coupons and handing them all to the cashier in the hope one might be valid
- slowly reading what’s displayed on the contactless payment point
- finding their loyalty card
- finding a payment card and putting it in the machine, taking it back out, turning it around and putting it back in the correct way
- forgetting their PIN
- rummaging around for a post it note that might have the correct PIN written on it
- finding their phone, waiting for it to turn on so they can call three relatives, neighbours etc to see if they know the PIN.
- reopening the wallet to put the card away and getting cash out, starting with a tonne of coins
- being handed their receipt and having a conversation with the cashier
- moving about a foot away to put everything away again, but still managing to block the line
Fucking move it Dorris, you haven’t got long left.
Or when you try to use contactless only to be asked the amount of tip to give to the cashier, before being able to pay.
Me trying to put my card back in my wallet at the drive thru window
Write a check, honey. Them slow ass bitches behind you will love it.
And get that huge wad of coupons out and see if any of them are valid!
Hooray uhp, JESSHICUH!
I came into this thread to find this comment just to make sure it was at the top
Not enough JESSHICUH fans in here.
If someone does this I’ll slow down and take my time.
Similarly if someone is being a douche driving I’ll slow down to 2 miles below the speed limit.
I have no illusions that they’re learning anything. At that point it’s petty revenge.
I used to do this too. Until last year.
I was at home, playing with my cat Leo, when in a span of 30 seconds, he went from being perfectly fine, to not being able to move his back legs, dragging himself along the ground, and yowling in pain. I needed to get him to the emergency vet quickly. The car in front of me pulled this, driving slow, blocking the road, not letting me get around him. Unfortunately Leo didn’t make it, and that driver’s behavior played a huge part in the lasting personal trauma I’m still dealing with.
The thing is, you don’t know why they are driving the way they are. Maybe they are an ass hole, but maybe they have a medical emergency. It isn’t your job to enforce the traffic laws. I know I’ll never do it again though
You have a horn and no excuse to not know … — … is SOS. You also played a part.

Another reason to prefer self-checkout. People in line get fanned out across multiple machines.
Yeah hurry the fuck up.
