Seriously though, R is tedious as hell when dealing with statistical analysis. It can be fun but I found it to be too much work for things I could do more easily elsewhere. Python is great for many things financial but can be limiting, though it’s my favorite language probably because of its general use and ease of access.

I wish I could smoke every day, but I get the munchies something fierce and I will put on weight immediately. I have to quit for my health. I just finished an eighth over the holiday weekend though, and I kinda hate myself right now.

This is after already quitting drinking, so I don’t have many escapes left haha. I’m out here raw dogging the dystopian future with just my mind bro.

No alcohol, no sugar and no limit on weed works pretty well for me now. And I try to run everyday (huffing and puffing)

I think the first two are big factors and I cannot believe how stupid I was the last 5 years drinking everyday.

Yeah, I’m probably addicted to cannabis. That doesn’t particularly bother me, as it doesn’t negatively impact my life. I keep it to nights and weekends, and I don’t spend more on it than I can afford. I honestly have a much harder time quitting coffee than I do cannabis. If I go on vacation, I never have a problem leaving my weed at home, but I’ll be damned if I don’t have my caffeine. And that doesn’t seem to be a particularly harmful addiction either.

Yeah, that does suck. I do struggle a bit to fall asleep the first few nights without it, since I’m used to having a bowl before bed, but the thing that really gets me is how crazy vivid my dreams are when I’m taking a break. I’m prone to night terrors too, so it’s a bit of a roll of the dice on what those dreams are gonna be like

Bad fabrics. Finally, someone else? E.g. touching some velvety stuff makes it feel like I can’t breathe?

How do I learn more about it? I’m scared to know what it means, but can probably guess.

i’ve never thought about Bad Fabrics, but on the other end of the spectrum i do have this nice Velour Robe that i bought my wife that i occasionally steal. Then there’s the Fluffy Cat that i picked up with my Shirt Off the other day and just about died in sensory joy overload. i’ve never had it be too much before it was weird.

Oh, it’s a way sensory overload can manifest. I hate lace, although admire the artwork of it. I like soft plush things and running my fingers on things that are smooth. I don’t like wearing silks though, too slippery on the body. Some fabrics make SOUND and those are the worst.

Hmm I should make a note of those terpenes. Internet stranger TMI here but having ibs-d I’ve found marijuana is one of the few things that has seemed to help some over the course of my life.

Even the prescription medicine I’ve taken for it wears off sooner or later but I’ve never really paid attention that strictly to terpenes, perhaps it’s time I do so.

Is it dependent on the type of weed? Some 90’s type 100 percent indica works like that for me. I do not have any diagnosis though. Worry about shit tomorrow, best Xanax ever, no side effects etc.

I could easily imagine some other strain stressing me out.

Haha. But this is funny, but also some ableist bullshit.

Not feeling daily agony can be habit forming, but it doesn’t make someone into a rastafarian. It would be cool if it did. But it doesn’t.

Just doing my part to fight misinfor-meme-tion.

Edit: Interestingly, the vote count of this post became more negative after I added emphasis around my stupid “misinfor-meme-tion” pun.

That is harsh, but fair. Still, I regret nothing.

Source: a doctor with a flashlight and a rubber glove.

I think you’re underestimating the amount of real pain that is caused by the current iteration of society. People aren’t supposed to function in a world like this. It’s broken and they’re suffering. It’s great if some small fraction of people can tough it out. Good for them. They’re the aberration.

I smoke weed every day because I like the neurochemistry it provides better than living sober.

Sure I can quit whenever I want, i have for plenty of job searches.

But it’s like, would you rather live your life never wearing shoes? When you could just be wearing shoes every day and your daily life is now more comfortable and easier to navigate?

    I wear shoes personally

Go to a dispo and ask for small dose edibles. Depending on where you are you can find edibles as low as 2.5mgs per dose. You should be able to find 10mg edibles anywhere you go and if you get something like a chocolate bar that you can further subdivide yourself you can fine tune your dose. The only pitfall is tolerance creeping up the more often you take it.

ETA: And if you want to limit your smoking amount, just buy a one hitter. Having to clear and load the pipe to get more than a little high will help prevent you from overdoing it.

Just put less than you normally would and be discipline about not going for more. There is no definition for what a micro dose is. Its just understood to be less. Try just doing half of what you normally do for a week and see how you feel from there.

From experience, try to use strains with less THC and higher CBD and it generally will help. Then taking time to see what dosage is a good balance of pain relief without making you high, and for how long before using again. There’s more to it, but that typically will be the easiest change to make. When you build a tolerance, make very small changes. It’s difficult, but you’ll start go see the effects if you stick with it. Cannabis is strong as hell these days lol

Just smoke every day and eventually every dose of weed will feel like a microdose.

I dab every evening for sleep (go through a gram of concentrate every 2-3 days) and guess what? I don’t get high anymore. Just a minor head change for the next 15-20 minutes.

It’s okay, you’re not missing much.

Long term effects are often downplayed by enjoyers in my view.

But hey, I still take it like once every other month sometimes, especially if I want to not get too drunk but it’s always a drag getting back to less procrastinating with my life.

It can be very helpful for some or in the way for others.
