Our drummer solved this problem by having our rehearsals where his drumkit is permanently set up.

      This is the way.

That, or get everyone in the band to agree to rent a practice space somewhere convenient for everyone that already has a kit set up.

Some party friends i had years ago were in a band. Good band too! heavy metal with violins. They rented a garage in a warehouse district that was strictly for commercial use only. 2 of them lived in the attic of the garage after they hauled up some plywood and couches and stuff. It was suuuuper sketch when we were all up in the ‘bedroom’ having a session before the practice started. whole garage was like 10ft wide and 30ft deep and there were at least 20 people just drinking and smoking and just chilling every week.
        Man…good times, good times.

Reminds me of a story I once read.

Guy is doing his laundry on the night of his 26th birthday. He realizes that he’s a complete loser. There’s a flier on the wall looking for musicians. He calls the number and makes an appointment.

He drives up and sees a bunch of teenagers standing around outside a garage.

    “Is this the tryouts?”

“Man, you don’t need to try out. You’ve got a van, you’re our manager!”

When I was a sound tech the drummer was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. With the diva singer being the complete opposite.

Given that there are amps and AIO synth, I assume this is meant to be a high school band rehearsal place? Then the drummer should already have that place’s kit set up for him, it’s not like they can even afford their own, nevermind the bags for it.
