Just to nerd out a bit: I think this is justified. He has nanomachines, son. His eyesight is probably perfect, but he adopts a different persona most of the time. He’s a puppeteer and a politician most of the time.
This is when he gets his actual boss theme lyrics too and he finally treats you as an actual fight. No more metal gear, no more speeches. You get the treatment of an equal rival.

The real movement, especially if you insist on moving your glasses constantly for some reason, taking off the glasses and slightly adjusting each pad in your hand before placing them back is a lot less cool.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t wear glasses. You take them off because they are expensive and they break easily. Also I need to be able to see on my way back after I get my ass beat.
Zenni optical, my friend. I order like 5 pairs at a time because I drop mine constantly, and it’s still cheaper than getting a single pair from the eye doctor. The lenses have been better too.
Just don’t leave them in a hot car or the lens coating gets weird.
I have Zenni glasses, they are great. But I still don’t want to get hit with glasses on. I have scars on my nose and side of head from that. Also I’m near sighted and need glasses to drive. Can’t be breaking my glasses.
And as someone very farsighted, zenni makes them cheaper, not cheap. They’re still over a hundred bucks to get ones without optical distortion from too thick lenses
My prescription lens and frames with all the bells and whistles are sub $100 if I go for the super cheap frames.
No Oakleys, can’t do it. Not that I give a shit about brands, I just love how comfortable the Airdrops are. No nose pads, straight bows that grip to my bald head instead of uncomfortably wrapping behind my ears. Crazy lightweight.
They have a pair of prescription sunglasses that have those features. The only drawback is the place where the corrective lenses fit can loosen over time.
But I agree with paying for good quality sunglasses. I only get traditional lenses from them.

my lenses are like a plastic kinda material, but they also aren’t very strong. maybe glass lenses are, and that’s why they’re used? perhaps i’ll find out when i go back to the eye doctor (i need stronger lenses :[ )
No, plastic lenses are less fragile than glass.

Plastic is capable of stronger prescription strength in a thinner lens than glass.

Glass doesn’t scratch as easily, and it has a different refractive index so a stronger prescription might be thinner in glass…
They area lot heavier though.

As someone who actually wears glasses, this always makes me laugh. If things are getting intense, I’m gripping mine tighter, not tossing them aside. Movie logic is undefeated.
